Live Meeting and Teleconferencing

The Live Meeting Web conferencing service helps you and your staff have interactive meetings around the world with remote teams, prospects, customers, partners, colleagues, and global audiences - in real time and at a moment's notice. With everyone participating from their desktops, teams can swap ideas, share information, mark up files, collaborate with whiteboards, or negotiate deals - at a fraction of the cost of travel. Communicating with people more easily and quickly can help shorten sales cycles, increase productivity, and improve the bottom line.

Superlative Solutions originally subscribed to Live Meeting because of the value it would add to tech support and customer service, but we quickly realized its power for training and teleconferencing.  We now offer it as a service you can subcontract through us. 

Live Meeting allows you to share anything on your computer with any other conferee: applications, Web sites, images, and Microsoft Office files (Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, etc.).  You can also present Powerpoint slideshows online, and use interactive tools such as whiteboard and polls to brainstorm and get user feedback.  And anything you present, or your conferees write online, is captured to a PDF file for download.

Audio support over the Internet was not as good as we wanted, though--not because of the Live Meeting service, but because of the vagueries of the Internet.  Some of your customers could have very high-speed Internet service, while others could be restricted to a slower dialup connection.  Combining the Live Meeting content with voice over IP audio was chancy, and might not give the best results.  So we added a teleconferencing service.

Premiere Global Services provides telephone conferencing services with a host of great features.  You can set up a conference with a Web interface, monitor and selectively mute conferees, record caller information for followup, and broadcast the audio portion of your meeting over a clean and clear telephone connection.  The audio can be recorded and saved as audio files accessible from the Web, so you can capture those great ideas or elusive action items someone volunteered--and know who volunteered them!

The combination of Microsoft Live Meeting for the visual and interactive component and Premiere Global Services for telephone conferencing makes a terrific teleconferencing package.  It's a very cost-effective way to train remote staff, get client approval of your project, make presentations to donors, or provide technical support for your application.
