Superlative Solutions utilizes a proven development methodology incorporating the following six key phases:

This is the most important step for ANY project. Without well-defined requirements, goals, specifications, and measurements used to determine success, the potential for a project to yield the desired result is significantly reduced.

Upon completion of this phase, we deliver comprehensive documentation based upon our meetings with you, your staff, and any third-party vendors. In larger projects, this documentation may be utilized in the development of a "Request for Proposal (RFP)." If you need assistance developing an RFP, we can assist in that as well.

The requirements and specifications developed in Phase I are formulated into a site map, content outline, and a graphical prototype (if applicable).

We deliver up to three graphical protypes along with the documentation for the site or project in a digital format, which will be used for production development. You will have the opportunity, during this phase, to validate our designs (to ensure they incorporate the requirements developed as part of Phase I). A final project proposal will be provided with costs formulated based upon the information developed during this phase. (Note: Modifications to the graphical prototypes, requested by you during the course of this phase, may incur additional costs.)

Utilizing the documents and specifications developed in the preceding phases, development is actively begun. This is generally the lengthiest phase of a project and numerous milestones, or review points, are defined to track progress and ensure communication is maintained. During development, you will have access to any development environments and are required to review the work-in-process on a recurring basis.

We deliver the system as specified by the requirements according to the specifications and approved prototypes. Your involvement in this process ensures the work is completed prior to moving the application into a production environment.

At this point, all aspects of the project will have been successfully tested, end-to-end, in the development environment. The system, upon your approval, is moved from development into the final production environment.

We deliver the system into the "live" environment, available to the public, or in the case of an Intranet system, it is made available to your staff. Testing will be performed, in the live environment, to ensure the application operates successfully.

During the development and implementation phases, we will do everything we can to ensure the system operates according to the requirements, without any defects. During the warranty period, any defects found that violate the requirements or involve logic errors in programming, will be corrected without any additional cost to you. The warranty period is normally for a period of 90 days; however, additional warranty coverage is possible at an additional fee.

We deliver quality systems and applications and our warranty is our promise to stand behind our work. This protects your investment by allowing a significant period of time to validate the system in a real-world, production environment.

This is an optional phase which, although not required, many clients appreciate. Ongoing maintenance agreements are tailored to your individual needs under a month-to-month service agreement. The number of hours you require will determine the fixed monthly cost.
